One must show respect to the Creator of the world, who grants him life and the world to live in.

The prohibition to curse G-d or call Him any derogatory or disrespectful name.

A Slightly Deeper Look

When we feel disappointed with life, when things do not work out as they should, how easy it is to point an accusing finger and blame…everyone…everything…even G-d.

Loyalty and trust are crucial in life.

To blame G-d, curse, or curse others in His name, is an act of disloyalty – akin to treason. It is an act that undermines the basis of all order and stability, on which a just society must stand.
